I seem to be noticing a theme these days on success. The theme is that, in order to get to someplace you are going, the ride will most likely uncomfortable. We either have to leave a place of comfort, make our selves uncomfortable enough to move, or we need to do the uncomfortable things to get to where we want to go. I spoke briefly about this in my post “Let’s Get Uncomfortable.”
Netflix and chill does not equal Success
In that post, I shared a story about how I’ve learned through doing uncomfortable things that it helps me explore new places. I’m sure you can look back at your life and see how the times when you were going through a rough patch, or having to jump into something that isn’t in your typical wheelhouse, you learned the most. I sometimes wish this wasn’t the way we learn new things or move forward, but that’s our world and that’s how it works.
If you don’t like it, grab your pepsi, your remote and watch Netflix until the dollar bills come raining through your front door.
I wrote the post below for lifehack.org this past week on some of the top things that I’ve learned that has helped other people and myself be more successful. These 8 things are on the top of my list to make sure I keep doing even though I don’t want to. That’s the point right? If they were comfortable or easy, we’d all be millionaires with six pack abs!
